Shocking new video footage shows a once-bustling Southern California shopping center reduced to what authorities describe as a magnet for crime, vandalism, and illegal activity, leaving the property looking more like a post-apocalyptic movie set than a former retail hub.

The Westminster Mall in Orange County, which officially closed last October, has rapidly deteriorated in recent months. Vandals have covered large portions of the abandoned complex in graffiti, while trespassers and criminal activity have surged throughout the property. Police report that calls for service at the site have spiked to 402 in just three months, underscoring the scale of the problem.

According to Westminster police, officers have responded to nearly 250 complaints during that period, apprehending individuals with outstanding arrest warrants and arresting more than two dozen suspects. The situation has worsened in recent days, with police arresting 30 people and responding to 57 calls for service in just a three-day span, as confirmed in a department Facebook post.

Authorities say the abandoned mall has become a hotspot for vandalism, trespassing, and other crimes, straining local law enforcement resources and raising concerns among nearby residents and business owners. Officers continue to conduct patrols and enforcement actions to deter further deterioration of the property.
