The Israel Defense Forces released new footage on November 4, 2025, showing the discovery and destruction of a 100-meter Hamas tunnel in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza, a site long recognized as one of the terror group’s key strongholds. The operation, led by IDF engineering and infantry units, uncovered multiple tunnels, weapons caches, and launch systems — part of a broader campaign to dismantle Hamas’s entrenched military infrastructure beneath Gaza’s civilian landscape.  

According to the IDF, troops operating in the area located a tunnel shaft leading to a fortified passage used by Hamas operatives for movement, storage, and potential attacks on Israeli forces. Soldiers recovered a large cache of rockets, launchers, and small arms before the tunnel was systematically demolished to prevent future use. The operation was conducted in coordination with intelligence from the Shin Bet and the IDF Southern Command.  

The Jabalia refugee camp, one of the most densely populated areas in Gaza, has repeatedly served as a base for Hamas operations — including rocket launches targeting Israeli border communities. This latest discovery adds to a growing body of evidence showing how Hamas embeds its terror infrastructure beneath civilian areas, schools, and mosques, deliberately placing Gaza’s population at risk to shield its militants.  

Israeli officials emphasized that such operations are critical to ensuring long-term security and preventing future cross-border attacks. “Every tunnel destroyed is one less route for terror,” an IDF spokesperson stated, reaffirming Israel’s commitment to eliminating Hamas’s underground network.  

From a pro-Israel standpoint, the operation underscores the moral clarity of Israel’s defensive strategy — targeting terror, not civilians. Despite international criticism, Israel continues to demonstrate that its fight is against Hamas’s war machine, not the people of Gaza. The footage serves as undeniable proof of Hamas’s systematic militarization of civilian zones and its exploitation of humanitarian protections.
