The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its 36th Division has completed operations in Khan Younis, delivering a major blow to Hamas infrastructure in the southern Gaza city.

According to the military, troops destroyed dozens of kilometers of tunnels, including command facilities and storage sites, as well as hundreds of militant positions. The operation also targeted Hamas fighters directly involved in the October 7 attack, eliminating several hundred militants in the process.

A key achievement of the operation was securing the “Magen Oz” corridor, a strategic route critical for military maneuvering and supply lines. The IDF said this corridor will play an important role in maintaining security and supporting further missions.

With Khan Younis operations concluded, the division is now preparing for its next mission as Israel continues its broader campaign against Hamas.
