A dramatic police incident unfolded in Kensington, Liverpool, after a quad bike rider rammed into a police car in a failed escape attempt on Tuesday, August 12.

According to Merseyside Police, the 29-year-old suspect drove the quad bike directly into the police vehicle, flipping it onto its side and over the bonnet of the car. The crash, which was caught on dash cam, ended with officers quickly detaining the rider at the scene.

The man, from Everton, was arrested on multiple charges, including dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence or insurance, and acquiring or possessing criminal property.

Police confirmed no officers were seriously injured during the incident, but warned that reckless behavior like this places both the public and law enforcement at serious risk. The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
