Originally designed as the MC-130, a multi-mission combat transport aircraft, this humble cargo plane has undergone a dramatic transformation into one of the most feared aerial gunships in the world — the AC-130J Ghostrider. The earlier Spooky model was outfitted with an impressive arsenal that included a 25mm Gatling gun, ideal for engaging infantry and light vehicles; a 40mm Bofors cannon capable of delivering explosive mid-range fire; and the iconic 105mm Howitzer, a massive artillery piece that could destroy buildings and armored positions with a single shell.
