Participants of “Greta’s Flotilla,” who attempted to breach Israel’s maritime blockade of Gaza, are now being processed by Israeli authorities and will face prison time before deportation.

After spending weeks at sea, the activists were intercepted by the Israeli Navy and taken into custody. Officials confirmed that participants will be held in detention facilities pending legal procedures before being deported to their home countries.

The flotilla, led by activists aiming to challenge Israel’s blockade, was halted after multiple vessels were intercepted by Israeli forces, including elite Shayetet 13 naval commandos.

Authorities maintain that the blockade is necessary for Israel’s security, while flotilla organizers claim their mission sought to highlight humanitarian concerns in Gaza.
