DALLAS — A deadly shooting unfolded at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility on Stemmons Freeway, leaving multiple people dead and the city on high alert.

According to police, a white male armed with a rifle opened fire inside the facility. Two detainees were killed, and another was critically injured before the suspect turned the gun on himself as officers closed in.

The FBI has taken over the investigation and is working to determine the shooter’s motive. Authorities placed the surrounding area on lockdown and urged residents to avoid the area as emergency crews responded. Multiple roads near the facility were temporarily shut down, causing major traffic disruptions.

Officials have not released the identities of the victims or the shooter.

The tragic incident has intensified concerns about security at federal facilities and the growing threat of targeted violence. Law enforcement leaders have pledged a full investigation to ensure accountability and prevent further attacks.
