Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully uncovered and dismantled a 1-kilometer-long Hamas terror tunnel in the city of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. The tunnel, buried 15 meters underground, was reportedly used by Hamas militants to store a significant cache of weapons, including AK-47s, RPGs, and large quantities of explosives.
During the complex operation, IDF troops eliminated dozens of terrorists and dismantled critical Hamas infrastructure. Military compounds, observation posts, and rocket launch sites were destroyed as part of the ongoing efforts to neutralize threats and degrade Hamas’ ability to conduct attacks against Israeli civilians.
This latest discovery highlights the continued threat posed by Hamas’ extensive tunnel networks, which are often hidden beneath civilian areas and used to smuggle weapons and launch attacks.
