A violent night in the Bronx left one person dead and seven others injured after a series of shootings across the borough, according to the NYPD.

Police say three separate shootings took place Saturday evening, with the most serious occurring around 7:30 p.m. at Haffen Park, where a basketball tournament ended in tragedy. One victim was fatally shot while several others sustained injuries.

Authorities reported that a total of eight people were struck by gunfire across the incidents. The victims have not yet been publicly identified, and their conditions vary.

Investigators are working to determine whether the shootings are connected. No arrests have been announced as of Sunday morning.
