Former Acting ICE Director and current U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan delivered a fiery rebuke of Democratic lawmakers, accusing them of ignoring the devastating consequences of lax border enforcement.
“[Democrats] stood silent while a record number of women and children were sex trafficked into this country,” Homan said, also pointing to the ongoing fentanyl epidemic. “They stood silent when a quarter million Americans died from fentanyl coming across that open border… They’re angry because we’re winning.”
Homan’s comments come as the administration intensifies efforts to secure the southern border, with recent crackdowns targeting both human trafficking networks and drug smuggling operations. The remarks are likely to fuel ongoing political tensions over immigration policy ahead of the next legislative session.
