The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a series of airstrikes across multiple areas in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah rocket launch sites, weapons depots, and military outposts. According to the IDF, the operations were aimed at disrupting the terror organization’s infrastructure and preventing potential attacks against Israel.
“The presence of the infrastructure and the activity of the Hezbollah terror organization in these areas constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF stated, highlighting the strategic and defensive rationale behind the strikes.
The air raids focused on neutralizing launch zones, arms storage facilities, and other positions linked to Hezbollah’s military operations. By striking these sites, Israel aims to limit the terror group’s capacity to launch attacks and to maintain security along the northern border.
The IDF emphasized that these operations are necessary to uphold Israel’s defense commitments and deter hostile actions from Hezbollah, which continues to pose a significant threat in the region. The strikes mark another demonstration of Israel’s readiness to respond decisively to violations of regional security agreements.
