A black bear in Southern California broke into a home on Friday, helping itself to an assortment of snacks in a late-night raid caught on security camera footage.

The homeowner reported that the bear spent about 45 minutes going in and out of the house, carrying off dog kibble, cookies, sugar, and other treats. Despite the extended visit, no one was harmed.

Incidents of bears entering residential areas have increased in parts of California, with wildlife officials reminding residents to secure food sources and keep doors locked in bear-prone neighborhoods.
