In the early hours of December 4, 2025, Upland Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at a dental office near Euclid Avenue and Arrow Highway. Arriving promptly around 4:30 a.m., officers spotted a vehicle exiting an alley with its lights off. The driver hesitated briefly before complying and pulling over.

Inside the car, officers discovered burglary tools, gloves, methamphetamine paraphernalia, the hoodie used during the break-in, and several stolen items—including a large Mickey Mouse stuffed animal. Among the arrested was 46-year-old Marta Amelia Barreto from Norco, a probationer from Los Angeles County for previous burglary offenses. Both suspects now face charges for multiple commercial burglaries and related offenses, and their vehicle was impounded for a month.
