Tampa police have released dramatic helicopter footage showing more than 200 dirt bike riders swarming city streets on August 13 in what authorities described as an attempted “takeover.”
The riders were seen weaving dangerously through traffic, ignoring traffic laws, and creating chaos on major roadways. Police deployed both ground units and aerial support to track the group, eventually cracking down on the illegal street activity.
Officials said their priority was keeping roadways safe for drivers and pedestrians, emphasizing that such large-scale street takeovers pose a serious public safety risk.
