Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed back forcefully against allegations of war crimes, blasting the International Criminal Court (ICC) as corrupt and politically motivated.
In an interview with Patrick Bet-David, Netanyahu was asked how he responds to critics who label him a war criminal. The prime minister rejected the accusation outright, calling the ICC charges an extension of long-standing bias against the Jewish people.
"Blaming the Jews," Netanyahu said, framing the allegations as part of a historical pattern of prejudice. He compared Israel’s current struggle against Hamas to Winston Churchill’s fight against Nazi Germany, insisting that Israel has the right—and the obligation—to defend itself against existential threats.
Netanyahu’s comments come as international scrutiny intensifies over Israel’s military operations in Gaza. While human rights organizations continue to raise concerns about civilian casualties, Netanyahu maintains that Israel’s campaign is a legitimate act of self-defense against annihilation.
The remarks reflect Israel’s broader rejection of the ICC’s authority and its insistence that the court is being used as a political weapon rather than a neutral body of justice.
