Israel Vindicated! UNRWA Finally Fires 70 Hamas-Linked Employees After Years of Warnings

For years, Israel has warned the international community that Hamas had deeply infiltrated the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Those warnings have now been dramatically confirmed. UNRWA recently dismissed 70 employees in Gaza with links to terrorist organizations, validating Israel’s repeated claims that the agency has been compromised by Hamas operatives.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon rightly pointed out that no terrorist deserves a UN badge, a UN paycheck, or the protection of the United Nations. The dismissals follow mounting pressure from Israeli intelligence, investigations by UN Watch, and a USAID Inspector General report that referred over 100 current or former UNRWA personnel for ties to Hamas. Evidence has even included specific identifications of UNRWA staff holding ranks such as platoon commanders and squad leaders within the terrorist group.

The international community must now fully acknowledge what Israel has been saying all along. Continuing to fund or shield an agency infiltrated by terrorists only perpetuates conflict and endangers innocent lives. True reform requires complete accountability, transparency, and an end to the misuse of international aid that has too often supported terrorism instead of humanitarian needs. Israel’s vigilance has once again proven essential for regional security and moral clarity.
