אמעריקע און מדינת ישראל ארבעטן צוזאמען אויף דיפענס סיסטעם
TEL AVIV — In a major technological leap during the ongoing Swords of Iron war, Israel’s Ministry of Defense, in coordination with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, has successfully upgraded the David’s Sling air defense system.
Live-fire tests during the war have significantly boosted the system’s capabilities to counter evolving aerial threats, Israeli officials said.
The upgrade comes amid heightened regional tensions, where intercepting precision threats — including cruise missiles and advanced rockets — is critical. David’s Sling now serves as a vital layer between Iron Dome and Arrow systems in Israel’s multilayered defense architecture.
