Spectators at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta witnessed a startling moment when a hot air balloon struck the roof of Oasis Academy Connaught during its first day.

The balloon, part of the festival’s colorful fleet, appeared to drift off course before making contact with the school building. Fortunately, the pilot regained control quickly, allowing the balloon to rise safely back into the air.

No injuries were reported, and festival organizers say weather conditions and flight paths are being reviewed to prevent similar incidents. The unexpected collision added a dramatic twist to what is usually a peaceful and picturesque event.
