The Israeli Air Force carried out targeted strikes in Gaza this week as part of ongoing military operations against Hamas.
On Wednesday, Israeli jets struck a Hamas mortar-launching site in Khan Younis, a city that has seen intense fighting in recent weeks. A day later, on Thursday, airstrikes hit a Hamas rocket launcher in Deir al-Balah, located in central Gaza.
The strikes come as ground operations continue across the territory, with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stating the actions are aimed at dismantling Hamas’ military infrastructure and preventing further rocket fire toward Israel.
Hamas has not immediately commented on the losses from these strikes, and the full extent of damage remains unclear. The conflict, now stretching on for months, has left civilians in Gaza facing dire humanitarian conditions while Israeli communities continue to grapple with security threats.
International observers continue to call for restraint as the cycle of strikes and ground operations fuels rising tensions in the region.
