Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stark warning following a wave of airstrikes on Gaza, declaring that Hamas will face complete destruction unless it surrenders and frees all hostages.
“The hurricane storm struck Gaza yesterday with unprecedented force,” Katz said, noting that 30 multi-story “terror buildings” and dozens of other targets linked to Hamas were attacked and destroyed. According to the minister, the strikes aimed to dismantle Hamas’s observation posts and military infrastructure while paving the way for ground maneuvering forces.
Katz’s statement underscored Israel’s escalating pressure on Hamas, signaling that continued resistance would bring further devastation to Gaza. “If Hamas terrorists do not lay down their arms and release all the hostages—they will be destroyed and Gaza will be ruined,” he warned.
The remarks come as the conflict intensifies, raising fears of broader humanitarian consequences amid already dire conditions in the territory.
