Vice President JD Vance has strongly condemned the sniper attack at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas, calling it an unacceptable act of political violence.

Speaking on the incident, Vance said that while conservatives oppose illegal immigration, violence against detainees cannot be tolerated. “We don’t support illegal aliens, but we don’t want them to be executed,” he stated.

The shooting, which took place earlier today, left two detainees dead and another in critical condition. Authorities identified the attacker as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. Investigators later revealed that “anti-ICE” was written on ammunition recovered near his body, pointing to a politically motivated attack.

Vance’s remarks highlight his broader push for both parties to take responsibility for violent rhetoric in American politics, warning that failure to address it could lead to more deadly incidents.

Federal authorities continue to investigate the shooting while increasing security at ICE facilities nationwide.
