טראמפ: ווי אזוי קענען אידן שטיצן מאמדאני
President Donald Trump unleashed a fiery tirade against New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, warning that he would withhold federal funding from the city if Mamdani were to win the upcoming election.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Trump dismissed Mamdani as “unqualified and dangerously radical,” accusing the progressive candidate of being a “communist” who would misuse taxpayer funds.
“Doesn’t know a d*mn thing. Practically hasn’t worked a day in his life,” Trump said. “I’m not gonna send a lot of money to New York. The funding comes through the White House — and I would not be generous to a communist who’s gonna take the money and throw it out the window.”
Trump went further, criticizing Mamdani’s political ideology and record, claiming he “hates police” and “hates Jewish people” despite receiving some support from Jewish voters.
“We’re not gonna let somebody get into office and squander the money,” Trump added. “He’s not a socialist, he’s a communist — down and dirty. And if somebody’s gonna be communist mayor of New York? It’s a fluke if he gets in. Failed people he’s running against, inferior candidates.”
Mamdani, a New York state assemblyman known for his left-wing activism, has not yet responded to Trump’s remarks. However, political observers say the President’s comments reflect his broader “law-and-order” and anti-socialist campaign themes, positioning himself as a defender of American capitalism and federal accountability.
The clash underscores the widening ideological divide between Trump’s populist conservatism and the Democratic Party’s progressive wing, as the 2025 local and national elections continue to heat up.
