Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a joint phone call with several European leaders shortly after his meeting with U.S. President Donald J. Trump in Washington.
“I had a common phone call with our group, the main leaders of the coalition of the willing,” Zelensky told reporters outside the White House following his talks with Trump.
The Ukrainian leader did not specify which European heads of state joined the conversation but described it as a coordinated discussion among allied nations supporting Ukraine’s defense and reconstruction efforts.
Zelensky’s outreach underscores his ongoing diplomatic push to maintain unity among Western partners as the conflict with Russia continues. The timing of the call — immediately following his White House meeting — signals Kyiv’s intent to align closely with both Washington and Europe in shaping the next phase of cooperation.
Officials from Kyiv and Washington described the Trump-Zelensky meeting as “productive,” focusing on defense assistance, energy resilience, and future peace negotiations.
