The U.S. Army, in coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), has begun constructing a new 15-mile segment of the border wall at the Barry M. Goldwater Range in Arizona.
According to military officials, the project aims to enhance security around a vital training installation while reinforcing the nation’s southern border. The wall segment is expected to serve both as a protective barrier for military operations and as a measure to curb illegal crossings in the region.
“The United States cannot remain strong without secure borders,” an Army statement said, emphasizing that the initiative supports both national defense and border integrity.
