WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a sharp rebuke during an appearance on Life, Liberty & Levin, Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) accused Hamas of weaponizing global media coverage to shift blame for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
“Hamas counts on international media to do its dirty work for them,” Cotton said.
“They hide behind civilians, use hospitals and schools as shields, and then rely on sympathetic headlines to turn the world against Israel.”
The senator emphasized that the suffering in Gaza is a direct result of Hamas’ tactics, not Israel’s self-defense.
Cotton's remarks come amid intensifying scrutiny of the conflict, with growing calls for ceasefires and accountability — often with little acknowledgment, he argues, of Hamas' role in perpetuating the crisis.
