President Donald Trump highlighted major economic achievements during recent remarks, touting gains in steel production, private-sector job growth, and his administration’s trade deals.
“Domestic steel production is up by 100,000 tons of steel a week,” Trump announced, crediting his administration’s policies for revitalizing the nation’s industrial backbone.
He also pointed to robust job creation since his inauguration: “We’ve created over half a million new private jobs. Government jobs are going down and private jobs are coming up — and that’s what really fuels the country. We’ve reduced the number of federal bureaucrats by 84,000.”
Turning to trade, Trump praised what he called “historic” agreements that expanded access for American agricultural exports. “We secured new market access for American agricultural exports all over the world,” he said, adding that “foreign nations are now paying hundreds of billions of dollars straight into our Treasury.”
The president framed these developments as proof of his administration’s commitment to strengthening America’s economy through deregulation, job creation, and fairer trade.
