Yeshiva Bochur Arrested on Way Home for Shabbos

A yeshiva bochur was arrested in Israel on Friday while traveling home for Shabbos after police discovered he was wanted by military authorities over his draft status.

The bochur, a talmid at Yeshivas Romemus Halev in Givat Ze'ev, was stopped on Route 3 near Moshav Beko'a and transferred to military police custody.

Chareidi news outlets reported that 35 Bnei Torah were expected to spend Shabbos in military detention amid the continuing arrests of yeshiva bochurim over military service.
