R’ Reuven Wolf, chairman and founding board member of Keren Olam HaTorah, highlighted during the fund’s current mission that its operating expenses are covered separately, allowing contributions to be directed toward supporting yeshivos, kollelim and lomdei Torah.

The message was delivered during the delegation’s visit to Panama, the latest stop on Keren Olam HaTorah’s international campaign on behalf of Torah institutions in Eretz Yisroel.

Keren Olam HaTorah itself describes the fund as operating “without any overhead,” saying its resources are directed toward the survival and support of thousands of yungeleit.

The arrangement means that donors contributing to the campaign are not being asked to fund the organization's administrative expenses from their donations, according to the fund's account.

The announcement comes as Keren Olam HaTorah continues a major international fundraising effort following cuts to funding for yeshivos and kollelim in Eretz Yisroel.

The fund says it is currently supporting approximately 120,000 lomdim and their families across 1,489 yeshivos and kollelim, with an annual budget of approximately $144 million.

R’ Wolf has played a central role in building the initiative. Earlier this year, Keren Olam HaTorah reported that it had distributed more than $250 million over the previous two years to yeshivos and kollelim throughout Eretz Yisroel.

The campaign has increasingly sought to broaden its base beyond major philanthropists. In June, a Lakewood-area campaign raised more than $12 million from over 20,000 donors, enough to cover approximately one month of the fund’s budget.

Keren Olam HaTorah's current international journey reached Mexico on August 23 and Panama on August 25, according to the organization's official itinerary.

The Panama visit has included tefillos, gatherings with the local Jewish community and fundraising events as the delegation continues its campaign to secure financial support for the Torah world in Eretz Yisroel.
