The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released new footage this week marking one year since the launch of Operation Northern Arrows, its large-scale offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The campaign began on September 20, 2024, with an airstrike that killed senior Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqil and other Radwan Force leaders. Over the following week, Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah infrastructure and leadership, culminating in the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah on September 27, 2024.

According to IDF figures, the offensive resulted in:
The IDF said the operation significantly weakened Hezbollah’s firepower and disrupted its “Conquest of the Galilee” plan, which aimed at launching attacks into northern Israel.
A ceasefire began in November 2024, but Israeli forces remain deployed in five positions in southern Lebanon. Since then, the IDF says it has conducted more than 1,000 raids against truce violations and struck over 300 Hezbollah operatives in follow-up actions.
The newly released footage highlights ground operations during the campaign, underscoring Israel’s continuing efforts to contain Hezbollah and maintain a security presence along the border.
