A prolific shoplifter who stole more than £100,000 worth of goods from Boots stores has been jailed for 12 months following a three-month crime spree across Kensington and Chelsea.
Liam Hutchinson, 32, carried out 99 separate offenses between May and August 2025, targeting multiple Boots branches. CCTV footage showed him brazenly taking large quantities of electrical products, razors, and other high-value items, hiding them in bags and under his jacket.
On one occasion, a shop worker tried to intervene before Hutchinson fled the scene. Police later identified and arrested him, bringing the theft spree to an end.
Alongside his prison sentence, Hutchinson has been issued with a Criminal Behavior Order, banning him from every Boots store in the UK for the next 10 years. He has also been prohibited from entering the borough of Kensington and Chelsea for five years./Authorities said the sentencing sends a clear message about the consequences of persistent retail crime.
