Iran has released a propaganda video titled “We Will Not Let Up on You” showcasing its naval capabilities aimed at deterring U.S. forces. The footage features speedboats designed for swarm attacks, naval mines, drones, and coastal-to-sea missiles, dramatizing Tehran’s asymmetric warfare strategies against the United States.  

The video emerges amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and Iran, following President Donald Trump’s deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier group to the Persian Gulf as a warning over Tehran’s nuclear program. By highlighting its unconventional arsenal, Iran appears to be signaling that it is prepared to respond to perceived threats using both manned and unmanned maritime tools.  

The imagery in the video emphasizes attacks on mock U.S. vessels, including representations of aircraft carriers and support ships, building on exercises dating back to 2020 where similar swarm tactics failed to sink a simulated carrier. Analysts note that the release serves more as psychological warfare and domestic propaganda than a demonstration of proven military capability, though it underscores the risks of escalation in the region.  

Iran’s use of drones, mines, and coastal missiles reflects a broader strategy of asymmetric deterrence, aiming to exploit vulnerabilities in larger, more technologically advanced naval forces. For the U.S., the video reinforces the need for vigilance and readiness in the Persian Gulf, where both sides continue to test capabilities and signal intent through military displays and strategic messaging.
