Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu emphasized the strategic importance of artificial intelligence after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Azerbaijan focused on AI cooperation. Speaking on the occasion, Netanyahu stated, “AI is not the instrument of the future. It's the instrument of the present that is rushing towards tomorrow. And we have to make sure that we are among the leading nations in this field.”  

The agreement underscores Israel’s commitment to advancing AI technology in partnership with international allies. By collaborating with Azerbaijan, Israel aims to accelerate research, development, and practical applications of AI across multiple sectors, including cybersecurity, defense, and advanced technological solutions.  

Netanyahu’s remarks reflect the urgency with which Israel is approaching AI development, highlighting the view that global technological leadership requires immediate action. The MOU not only strengthens bilateral relations with Azerbaijan but also signals Israel’s intention to remain at the forefront of cutting-edge innovation in artificial intelligence, ensuring national competitiveness and security in an increasingly technology-driven world.
