Ukraine has unveiled a significant leap in its military capabilities with the combat debut of the FP-5 Flamingo cruise missile, a domestically developed long-range weapon capable of striking targets up to 3,000 kilometers away. The missile, designed by Ukrainian firm Fire Point and revealed in August 2025, carries a 1,150-kilogram warhead and flies at low altitudes to evade enemy defenses, giving Kyiv a strategic strike capability independent of Western-supplied systems.
