IDF Strike Wipes Out Hamas Cash Network Funneling $169M to Terror

The Israel Defense Forces carried out a strike eliminating two senior Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives accused of orchestrating one of the largest financing operations uncovered behind the terror groups' military activity. The IDF identified the targets as Hussein Qadra and Mohammed Farra, who according to the military were responsible for transferring more than half a billion shekels, roughly 169 million dollars, into the hands of Hamas's military wing. Footage of the strike was released alongside the announcement, showing the operation that brought down the two men.

According to the IDF, Qadra and Farra ran an extensive financial network involving dozens of couriers and money exchangers operating across Turkey and the Gaza Strip, allowing funds to move through informal channels and evade conventional banking oversight. The scale of the operation, both in terms of the money involved and the number of people enlisted to keep it running, underscores the lengths to which Hamas's financial infrastructure extends beyond Gaza's borders. Israeli officials have repeatedly pointed to Turkey as a hub for Hamas-linked financial and logistical activity, a claim that this latest strike appears to reinforce.
