President Trump has defended the recent U.S. decision to provide $60 million in aid to Gaza, highlighting the lack of international recognition while stressing the humanitarian motivations behind the move.

"We gave $60 million two weeks ago — and nobody even acknowledged it," Trump said.

"When I do that, a lot of people aren't happy about that because they say, 'Well why are we doing it and nobody else?' But I think we had a humanitarian reason for doing it."

The comments come amid heightened scrutiny over U.S. involvement in the Middle East and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. While some of Trump’s supporters have questioned the aid, the president emphasized that the decision was driven by compassion and leadership, not politics.

The $60 million package reportedly includes food, medical supplies, and basic necessities, aimed at supporting civilians affected by the ongoing conflict.
