China has successfully launched Pakistan’s PRSS-01 (Pakistan Remote Sensing Satellite-01) into orbit using its Kuaizhou-1A rocket. The launch took place on Thursday from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province, marking another milestone in the growing space collaboration between the two countries.

According to mission controllers, the satellite reached its designated orbit with all systems functioning normally. The PRSS-01 is designed to enhance Pakistan’s earth observation capabilities, aiding in natural disaster management, agriculture monitoring, and urban planning.

This launch reflects China’s expanding role in the global space market and its strategic partnership with Pakistan. The Kuaizhou-1A rocket, known for its rapid response capabilities, has become a preferred vehicle for launching small to medium-sized satellites into low Earth orbit.

The mission highlights the increasing cooperation in science and technology between Beijing and Islamabad and signifies Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to building its space infrastructure with Chinese support.
