The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that its fighter jets struck several sites in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, targeting facilities it says were being used by Iran-backed Houthi rebels for military purposes.

According to the IDF, the strikes hit a military site located near the presidency palace, the Asar and Hezyaz power plants, and a fuel storage facility. Israeli officials stated that all of the locations were being used by the Houthis to support ongoing militant operations in the region.

The attacks follow escalating tensions after recent Houthi strikes against Israeli territory. Israel has vowed to respond firmly to any aggression, while regional observers warn that the conflict could deepen instability across the Middle East.

So far, there have been no official reports of casualties from the strikes.
