An explosion erupted Sunday night in the basement of a home located at 616 Empire Boulevard in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood.
The blast, which was caught on camera, prompted a swift response from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). Fire crews operated at the scene and quickly secured the area to ensure there was no further danger to nearby residents.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, though officials have not ruled out electrical or gas-related factors.
