A Massachusetts teenager is lucky to be alive after accidentally reversing his pickup truck off the Marshfield Town Pier and into the Green Harbor River.

Surveillance video captured the dramatic moment the vehicle rolled backward and fell nearly 15 feet into the water, narrowly missing the teen’s father’s boat.

Authorities said the teen managed to escape by climbing through a rear window before swimming to safety. Emergency responders later transported him to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

Witnesses described the incident as both shocking and fortunate, noting how close the vehicle came to striking nearby vessels. Local officials confirmed the truck has since been recovered from the water.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, but no foul play is suspected.
