President Donald Trump on Tuesday released dramatic footage of a U.S. military strike in the southern Caribbean that destroyed a Venezuelan drug boat. According to Trump, the operation killed 11 suspected members of Tren de Aragua, a violent criminal organization with roots in Venezuela.

The strike comes as part of an intensified U.S. crackdown on drug trafficking and transnational crime. Just days earlier, warships were deployed to the region to intercept narcotics and target cartel-linked operations.

On Fox & Friends, Pete Hegseth praised the military action and issued a warning to others attempting to smuggle drugs into the United States, saying the operation should serve as a message of deterrence.

The Pentagon has not yet released additional details about the strike, but defense officials said the mission was aimed at disrupting cartel supply lines and limiting the group’s ability to expand its influence.
