The Israel Air Force (IAF) and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully carried out a joint operation that eliminated a Hamas terrorist cell of around 20 members in Khan Younis. According to Israeli military reports, the group was preparing to launch an attack on a designated humanitarian zone in the area.

Following the initial strike, additional Hamas operatives were detected attempting to use Gazan children as human shields in an effort to evade targeting. The IDF confirmed that these individuals were also neutralized in a precise operation that resulted in no civilian casualties.

The military emphasized that such actions are part of Israel’s ongoing effort to protect humanitarian zones and ensure the safety of civilians in conflict areas. The incident underscores the continued challenges of operating in densely populated regions where militant groups reportedly embed themselves among noncombatants.
