Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi issued a direct message to the Iranian people, urging caution and strategic restraint as he described the country as entering what he called a decisive phase in its struggle against the ruling Islamic Republic. In a public statement addressed to “compatriots,” Pahlavi called on citizens to avoid actions that could place them in immediate danger while encouraging forms of resistance that weaken the regime’s control.

He also warned that the government frequently positions security personnel inside civilian locations such as schools, mosques, and other public facilities. By doing so, he argued, the regime attempts to shield its forces behind ordinary citizens and sensitive community sites. Pahlavi urged Iranians to stay away from these areas to prevent becoming unintended victims of potential clashes.

A central element of his message was directed toward government employees and bureaucratic workers across the country. Pahlavi called on them not to report to their workplaces and to refuse participation in activities that support the functioning of the state apparatus. He framed this action as a form of civil resistance designed to disrupt the mechanisms the government relies on to maintain authority.

“Under no circumstances report to your workplaces,” Pahlavi urged in the message. He argued that ordinary employees should not risk their safety for the survival of the current political system and should avoid being placed in positions where they might be used as “human shields” by authorities.

Beyond simply abstaining from work, Pahlavi encouraged individuals within government structures to use their access and resources to help fellow citizens and obstruct the enforcement of repressive measures. According to the statement, internal disruption and noncooperation could play a key role in weakening the regime’s ability to carry out crackdowns.

Pahlavi’s message reflects the broader strategy often adopted by opposition movements seeking systemic change through sustained civil pressure rather than immediate mass confrontation. Encouraging strikes, work stoppages, and institutional noncooperation has historically been used in various political movements around the world as a means of eroding the operational capacity of governments.

The statement concluded with a message of national unity and encouragement directed at the Iranian people. Pahlavi reaffirmed his belief that the coming period could prove decisive for the country’s future and called on citizens to remain vigilant, cautious, and committed to supporting one another during the unfolding developments.

Ending his remarks with the words “Long live Iran,” Pahlavi sought to frame the struggle not only as a political conflict but also as a national effort centered on the safety and dignity of the Iranian people.
