Hamas has released body camera footage from its August 20 raid on an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) outpost east of Khan Younis, showing close-quarters combat between its fighters and Israeli soldiers.

According to Hamas, around 15 militants took part in the assault, which left several IDF soldiers wounded. The video captures the early morning infiltration of the outpost, with fighters engaging Israeli troops at point-blank range inside the living quarters.

The footage also highlights the use of tunnels to stage the attack, a tactic Hamas has employed repeatedly in its operations. Toward the end of the video, one fighter dressed in black declares his intent to carry out a “suicide operation.” Hamas later confirmed he was a suicide bomber involved in the raid.

The group acknowledged that eight of its fighters were killed during the operation. The IDF has not yet released an official statement regarding the video.
