Security camera footage from the entrance of a Western Galilee community has captured an unusual flash of light moving rapidly through the area on the night of October 10. The sighting came amid an alert reported around 7:57 PM in Arab al-Aramshe, close to the Lebanon border, after the IDF detected an unidentified aerial object. Troops were deployed and helicopters searched several northern communities, but nothing has been found so far. The military has not said what the object was, and the video itself has not been independently verified.
Israeli outlets have floated several explanations, including a drone, a powered paraglider, or even a wind-blown object such as a plastic bag, but none has been confirmed. The mystery lands in a region on high alert, where drone and aerial infiltration alerts from Lebanon have been common this year and some have been later classed as false identifications. The IDF has not classified this event, and the investigation is ongoing. Until the military releases its findings, what actually crossed the Galilee skies remains an open question.
