The IDF and Shin Bet have exposed two organizations operating as fronts for terrorist groups in Judea and Samaria, conducting targeted raids that led to the arrest of five suspected collaborators. Security forces struck the offices of the Addameer Charity Association in Ramallah and the Islamic Association for the Care of Orphans in Yatta. According to the military, these entities functioned as organizational and financial arms of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine while presenting themselves as humanitarian charities. During the operations, troops seized computers, documents, and checkbooks bearing markings linked to designated Hamas funds. Addameer was described as receiving terror financing to provide legal assistance to PFLP prisoners held in Israeli detention. Some individuals working at the association were connected to the 2019 Danny Spring attack that killed 17-year-old Rina Shnerb.
In Yatta, the Islamic Association for the Care of Orphans served as a hub that transferred funds directly to Hamas and supported families of terrorists and prisoners, officials said. The association’s director and other senior figures were identified as past Hamas operatives who had previously been imprisoned. Both groups had already been designated as unlawful associations. The raids form part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terror financing networks that exploit civilian cover to advance militant activities across the region. Detainees and the seized materials were transferred to security forces for further investigation. Bodycam footage released by the IDF shows soldiers methodically clearing the offices during the operations. Authorities emphasized that such actions aim to dismantle infrastructure that sustains terrorism while operating under the guise of charitable work.
