NEW YORK — Conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly is raising alarms over the future of New York City, predicting an exodus of residents if progressive Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani secures victory in the city’s upcoming mayoral race.
O’Reilly pointed to new polling data suggesting Mamdani’s growing influence, warning that his policies could accelerate the departure of middle-class families and businesses already burdened by high taxes and crime concerns.
“People are voting with their feet,” O’Reilly argued. “If Mamdani wins, you’ll see a massive outflow of working people and taxpayers. The city simply cannot sustain more radical policies.”
The remarks come as debates over public safety, housing, and taxation continue to dominate the mayoral race, with critics warning that a sharp leftward turn could deepen challenges for the city’s economy and livability.
