UNITED STATES — In a powerful appearance on the Tucker Carlson Show, conservative commentator Charlie Kirk delivered a stark warning about the growing financial crisis facing Generation Z, arguing that crippling debt has become a form of modern-day slavery — and placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of the Baby Boomer generation.

Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, the nation's largest conservative youth movement, said student loans, credit card debt, and skyrocketing living costs have left young Americans disillusioned, angry, and susceptible to radical ideologies.

“We are seeing a generation that feels betrayed,” Kirk said. “They were told that if they went to college, worked hard, and followed the rules, they’d succeed. But instead, they’re buried in debt with no clear way out — and many Boomers still don’t get it.”

Kirk emphasized that ignoring the economic despair of younger Americans could have serious consequences, including the risk of political unrest and the erosion of traditional values.

He also urged conservative leaders to address the economic reality facing Gen Z — not just with rhetoric, but with serious policy reform — before it's too late.

“This isn’t just about student loans,” he continued. “It’s about a system that’s failing our youth — and unless we fix it, we may not like what comes next.”
