Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro is calling out what he describes as the Democratic Party’s increasingly radical agenda, pointing to remarks from New York State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Shapiro argues that such statements reveal a growing mainstream acceptance within the party of ideas once considered extreme — including the concept of “abolishing” the traditional American family structure.

“This isn’t the fringe anymore,” Shapiro said. “When you have elected officials openly endorsing these ideas, you can’t pretend the Democratic Party is still moderate.”

Supporters of Mamdani’s vision claim it’s about reimagining social systems to address inequality, while critics, like Shapiro, see it as a direct assault on cultural and societal stability.
