WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Hamas, saying the group faces “complete obliteration” if it continues to hold power in Gaza. Speaking in an interview with CNN, the President made it clear that the U.S. will not tolerate further aggression or instability in the region.
“Hamas faces complete obliteration if it insists on staying in power and control of Gaza,” President Trump said. “We will find out soon whether Hamas is genuinely committed to peace.”
The President also noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “fully on board” with efforts to bring an end to the ongoing bombing campaign in Gaza, signaling a possible shift toward de-escalation if Hamas agrees to disarm and engage in peace talks.
Trump’s comments underscore his administration’s firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to securing long-term peace in the Middle East. Analysts say his remarks reflect growing international pressure on Hamas to step down and allow reconstruction and stability to return to the region.
