In a classic “Florida Man” moment, a 57-year-old driver was arrested after speeding down the highway at a jaw-dropping 107 miles per hour — all because he didn’t want to be late for his barber appointment.
Police bodycam footage from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office shows the driver, Michael Stanek, being pulled over after the high-speed chase. When the officer asked him why he was going so fast, Stanek’s explanation was as smooth as a fresh fade: “I have an appointment with my barber.”
Unfortunately for Stanek, that trim had to wait. Instead of a haircut, he ended up getting booked at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility — and definitely missed his appointment.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office couldn’t resist a little humor, posting that this was one “cut” that didn’t go as planned.
Authorities reminded drivers that showing up on time is never worth risking lives on the road — even if the fade is important.
